The following information details how to submit your required Maryland Motor Vehicle Student Forms

For students who started their in-class training after September 1, 2010

As of September 1, 2010 I Drive Smart tracks all required student forms (listed below), via our on-line Event Management System. As a student progresses through both in-class and behind-the-wheel training, all data are entered by individual instructors which will automatically populate onto the appropriate forms. Students only must manage their Maryland Classroom Student Answer Sheet. This sheet, along with your book, should be brought to all in-class training sessions so all answers, scores, instructor initials, and dates can be documented. Even though we provide online scoring, the Maryland Motor Vehicle Administration (MVA) mandates that we collect the Student Answer Sheet as a paper record of the classroom training. This document also serves as the student's receipt of attendance in the event of an online scoring error. DO NOT MISPLACE THIS ANSWER SHEET as you MUST SUBMIT the completed Student Answer Sheet upon completion of the classroom training.

The I Drive Smart Event Management System manages all other documents. Students and Parents can view student scores and attendance by logging into the user account after each session. All of the MVA forms listed below must be certified through the Student User Account. The final four forms will beome available on the day after the student completes ALL required (classroom plus in-car) training:
  1. Maryland Bill of Rights: E-certify in Online Forms in Student User Account by clicking the E-Certify button
  2. Maryland Classroom Student Answer Sheet: Fully-completed form for all classroom units must be uploaded by Student -- see below.
  3. Maryland Classroom Student Record and Completion Form: E-certify in Online Forms in Student User Account by clicking the E-Certify button (appears the day after completing ALL training)
  4. Maryland Behind the Wheel Student Record and Completion Form: E-certify in Online Forms in Student User Account by clicking the E-Certify button (appears the day after completing ALL training)
  5. Maryland Driver Education Student In-Car Evaluation/Progress Record: E-certify in Online Forms in Student User Account by clicking the E-Certify button (appears the day after completing ALL training)
Once a student has completed all training, he or she will be able to view all completed forms with scores and signatures showing via the user account. Additionally, a completed student will receive an email instructing the student to do the following:
Step One: Once notified via the student's user account, the student should view and E-Certify all forms.
Step Two: The student should upload the Student Answer Sheet as indicated below.

I Drive Smart, Inc.
30 Court House Square, G-2
Rockville, MD 20850
Attention: Student Document Review

Important Note: If the student has more than a single Student Answer Sheet, for example, due to forgetting the sheet for a class, the student must combine the submission into one document to provide a complete record. If the student cannot produce a complete record, for example, if the document(s) are lost, destroyed, or not complete, the parent and student can complete the Lost Student Answer Sheet form...as long as I Drive Smart's online scoring shows attendance of all required classroom units and a passing score of at least 80 on the final test. Once the student's documents have been finalized and approved by the office, the student will receive an email and a notice in their user account clearing the student to schedule the licensing test at the Matyland MVA.
