Ace Your Driving Test With I Drive Smart!

May 30, 2012 · 1 Comment

Those of us that have our driver's license often like to pretend that we were born good drivers, that driver education came naturally to us, and that we passed our licensing test flawlessly. Well, for most of us, that couldn't be farther from the truth. Taking a driving test can be one of the most stressful events of a teenager's young life, and a number of us have failed driving tests as proof of that. Apart from normal anxiety, perhaps a young driver is not typically a great test taker, or perhaps they fear what others (friends, siblings, and parents) might say if they fail the test. Suffice it to say that there are a million and one reasons that a teen may be overly nervous and fail to perform optimally on their driving test.

Don't let that happen to you! I Drive Smart is here to help those students that need a little extra confidence going into test day. We are now offering a Simulated Driver's Test at our Advanced Training Location located at 20301 Century Blvd., Germantown, MD 20874. During the one-and-a-half hour session, our most experienced instructors (law enforcement professionals, just like all IDS teachers) will guide the student through a driver test just like an official at the MVA will during the actual examination. In addition, our instructors will provide the student with a number of tips and strategies about what to expect and what to watch out for when test day arrives. To make it even more like the real thing, the student can even take the Simulated Test in his or her own vehicle (or, if preferred, in an IDS vehicle), with our instructor administering the test from outside the vehicle. When a student finishes our Simulated Test, they will be equipped with the tools necessary to go into their driving test at the MVA confidently and competently. Parents are also invited and encouraged to participate in these Driving Tests. Our instructors will teach you how you can best help your teen prepare for the driving test and to become a safer driver. Often, parents come out of these sessions learning just as much as the students!

It's true what they say - practice DOES make perfect. If you or your child are nervous about an upcoming date at the MVA, why not take the stress away and take a Simulated Driving Test, ensuring that there will be no surprises come test day. We are currently working to get this product offered online to make signing up even more convenient for you. In the short term, if you are interested in scheduling a Simulated Driving Test, please give us a call at 301-605-7761.We can't wait to hear from you!
