Why I Drive Smart

I Drive Smart is the only Maryland State Certified Driving School that guarantees 100% private behind-the-wheel training every time. It is always one student, one instructor and one car for the full training session on the road. In Virginia, we are the only Virginia State Certified Driving School that only allows the Virginia State minimum of two-students during each session.  NOTE: For Supplemental Training in Virginia, there is only one student per session.  

We never load up a training vehicle with multiple students like other schools in either state or "hop" house to house while picking up and dropping off students wasting your student's valuable training time.  We spend the entire time training, focused on your student.  This method of individualized instruction allows each student to absorb fully all the life-saving information that our instructors pass along while in a real-life training environment.

We encourage parents to speak directly with the instructor about your individual teen's driving progress. Take time to talk one-on-one before and after each session as we welcome it!

For experienced drivers, I Drive Smart develops individualized travel routes for seniors, assesses the skill-sets of each driver and works with families to determine areas of concern.
